I was brought on by Capgemini as a permanent employee after a great performance as a contractor. I'm continuing my role as a Software Engineer within Capgemini and continue to strive and improve my technical and interpersonal skills.

I've been involved in upskilling a new member and have shown an eagerness in being able to pass on my knowledge to others as well as assisting in any issues that happens whether it is project work or issues outside my scope.

I'm planning on moving to a new team within the company soon and hope to develop my skills further as new opportunities arrive in my work life.

QA Consulting

IT Consultant

I was scouted by a consulting agency to be upskilled as a contractor for them. I took part in an intensive 12-week training course in Manchester to upskill my development skills in languages such as Python and Java as well as taking part in projects which helped develop skills in agile development.

After training, I was deployed to Telford to work as a contractor for Capgemini as a Scala Developer. Originally I did not know anything about Scala however it didn't take long to pick it up and continue to learn as I worked.

During the role, I worked with my team to deliver our API deliverables to stakeholders with high satisfaction and I ensured that all our work was well tested and well maintained through extensive testing and support.

Hobbies & Interests

Digital illustration

I’ve been pursuing this hobby for around 8 years now. It has helped me understand how to utilise graphic tablets and driver software as well as teaching me excellent organization skills.  I keep a schedule to ensure things are well designed and developed. In addition, I create art for people which in addition to improving my design skills has allowed me to develop people skills as well as experience dealing with clients in a professional manner including designing concept art for games that are in development.

Software Development

Sometimes I do some game design, using programs including game maker and the unity games engine, I mostly have been using these to test a few features for future projects. This has allowed me to understand the whole concept of games design. It has also given me a bit of experience in testing and finding solutions to issues involving the games. I take the time I’m using to learn new programming languages and try to expand my knowledge of technology.
